Morning hike at
Cascade Head Preserve close to Lincoln City. A bit more than a mile out from the trail head off Forest Service Rd 1861. Weather, today, no rain, in the 60s, with a mild breeze blowing in a light bit of fog. Then the sun came out, mostly, but still a bit hazy. From this area you can see my old
Camp Westwind, Salmon River Estuary, a long stretch of the Oregon Coast, and Devil's Lake to the east of Lincoln City.
This was an easy hike coming to the meadows from this direction. No steep climbs to get there. You do descend a bit to the lower meadow / view points, but wasn't too bad getting back up. No amenities, other than the view!
